Cottage Café
The cottage of the Cottage Café, located at the foot of the esplanade where the Gothic canopy of the Duke of Brunswick sits enthroned, no doubt originally served as a temporary home for the workers commissioned between 1876 and 1879 to erect the monument. It is likely that it was later used by the gardener who tended the park before being turned into a café in the interwar years. Abandoned between 2006 and 2008, the house was renovated by the City of Geneva and completely refurbished and decorated internally by Nicole Boder and her team.
